Hema stepped out of the OT after completing an emergency surgery, exhaustion weighing on her but her mind still alert. Since she had taken leave during Jeeva’s disappearance, she was now covering a night shift. After Nithin dropped her at the hospital and left for home, she resumed her duties, making rounds before returning to her cabin. It was routine for doctors to discuss cases during such hours, and that’s when one of them mentioned a difficult patient—a young girl refusing treatment.
